Everyone seems to be excited about having a new play at the Stage and we thought an interview with someone who did some of the writing for it would be in order. So without further fuss, here’s the scoop on [insert ghosty sounds here]: The Haunting of the Viking Opera! (Don’t be scared. They’re not super scary ghost noises…)
 
Tell us what it’s like to write a Club Penguin play from the first idea until you see it on Stage.
It’s epic! It starts with an idea like: “Hey! How about a play about Vikings?” and starts snowballing. One minute you have a script, then suddenly you have costumes, a set, music, the works! It’s cool when an idea comes to life.

What’s the coolest part of this Haunting of the Viking Opera play?
Well it’s sort of like “Vikings versus Ghosts”, which is a tough one to call. Ghosts are spooky, but Vikings have those pointy-helmets. Both are exciting, doing ghost-y and Viking-y things. Oh man, could you imagine a Viking Ghost? I think I just scared myself!

Do you think Vikings ate candy?
Most definitely. I’m pretty sure that’s what the Vikings in the Operas were singing about in the first place: how much they love candy.
 

So grab your friends and solve the mystery! The Haunting of the Viking Opera will be at the Stage until June 11.

Rockhopper’s Coming!

If you go to the Beacon and look through the telescope, you will see that Rockhopper is coming close!

 

Have you been to the Lighthouse lately? Should you feel like waddling there and going up to the Beacon, check out the telescope!! You may see a ship belonging to our very own Captain Rockhopper.

 

Billybob isn’t going to say too much, but he can tell you that from what Billybob hears, he’ll be bringing something extra special to the island this trip… Rockhopper’s ship looks kind of tropical! Maybe he’s bringing back some Luau Party! I know that some of you out there loved the Luau Party back in 2006! I know I wasn’t there on Club Penguin that time but, I heard the Luau Party was great! Tell me what you think’s gonna happen when Rockhopper comes back!

In other news: We’ve got new igloo furniture today! And start thinking ahead because there’s going to be a Dojo igloo decorating contest coming up soon. I wanted to tell you early so if you’re not already a ninja, you have time to get your black belt before the contest starts June 1. You’ll see more info in the newspapers later in the month!! I’m not sure about you… but I’ve got some training to do!

Screenhog’s Mini-Medieval Guide

Here is what Screenhog wrote on the What’s New? blog.

Hi everyone, it’s Screenhog.

While you’re off getting the golden armor from the ultra-cool Knight’s Quest, remember to check out these other things from the Medieval Party! 

*The lighthouse beacon has become a big bonfire!

*The mirror at the ski hill tries to answer your questions! Just ask your question and move your mouse over it!

*The second floor of the princess castle has a fountain with Koi in it… just remember to feed the fish!

*If you go to the Gift Shop market, you’ll see a special Medieval Party catalog (including the player card background chosen by you).

*Medieval snowball fights in the Snow Forts! You don’t see contraptions like that every day.

*The treetop fort in the Forest. Looks like some puffles have made their home in it.

*The huge, red dragon in the Mine. It’s controlled by the Switchbox 3000.

*The Smithy where the Boiler Room was (if you can’t find it, just ask a passing blacksmith).

*The Book Room has been turned into an old library, with scrolls everywhere!

*There’s a bouncing wizard’s hat in the lighthouse. If you haven’t gotten your wizard’s hat yet, I’m pretty sure it will give you one if you ask nicely.

In other news: It’s time for Rockhopper to set sail from Walt Disney World in Florida! We hear that those of you who had the chance to meet him in person really enjoyed it. I’d say that our favorite pirate penguin will likely be sailing his Migrator ship to the island sometime soon…

New Furniture on Friday! Sneek Peak

Club Penguin has posted a new post on the What’s New? blog. There is a sneek peak of the new furniture item that will come out Friday May 17th in the Better Igloos catalog. Looks like some fancy shmancy mirror that was at the mountain! Ask the mirror a question, put your mouse over the mirror, and it answers you!

 

With the Card-Jitsu trading card announcement on Saturday, there’s been some ninja buzz… Club Penguin is making a ninja knight, ninja princesses, and ninja dragons. That sounds cool! Club Penguin said that they will post a sneek peak of how the ninja knight will look on Friday! Can’t wait! Tell me what you think about the new furniture coming up and about the ninja outfits! I’m really excited to see the ninja outfits! Unfortunately, I’m not a member . But I’m still a ninja so when the ninja outfits come out, I’ll show you the catalog if you’re not a ninja!

You Decide: A Wig Color! Results

The result’s for the wig color has been voted and the winner is… BLUE!!!! I told you it was gonna be blue because, Club Penguin never had a blue wig before! It looks way better than how I made it! Here’s how it looks:

Medieval Party Cheats and New Play!

Here are cheats for the medieval party.

Knights Needed – Medieval Maze

When you log on to club penguin you will find a sign that reads Knights Needed all around club penguin. Click on one of the posters to open them!

The kingdom of Club Penguin needs you!  Begin your quest and prove your self worthy in the Medieval Maze!

You will end up in the Cave, Scroll your courser over the gate to begin your quest!

Challenge 1

Your first Challebge is for you to light up all the orbs!

You will see 5 Orbs! Walk on the platforms to light the orbs up.

You can walk on the platforms in any order.

Challenge 2

Your second challenge is to hit 50 targets. Once you hit 50 targets you can move on to the next challenge, you can also collect a free Golden Shield!

To hit the targets throw a snowball at each one by pretting the letter T on your keyboard and then click on the target you want to throw your snowball at, you will find a sign in the bottom right hand corner that tells you how many tragets you have hit.

Once you have completed the challange and you have hit all 50 tragets the gate will open and you will be on your way to the last challenge, but don’t forget to get a free Golden Shield before you go!

Challenge 3

Here awaits your very final challenge! The Puzzling Maze!

Just before you start your final challenge (The Maze), collect your very own Free Golden Knight Helmet!

The medieval maze can be very tricky, but if you follow these simple six steps below you will be find your way to the the special prize!

1. Down
2. Left
3. Down
4. Right
5. Right
6. Up

If you go in those directions and in that order, at the end, awaits your special prize!

You will now be in the Final Room and in it is your prize!

Go and collect your free Gold Knight’s Armor!

At the end of your journey, you will find out what the Shield and Helmet go to. Well it goes to A free Golden Knights Suit! You will find that this Medieval Party or 2009 has lots more to offer than just this quest! Why don’t you come and check it out with me Yoda Ads!

Ok! Now here are my cheats!

The Pin Maker will make your crown pin! You have to put your cursor over the big pot so that the lava can pour and make your pin! The Pin Maker 3,000 is at the Bolier Room.

Sorry, I couldn’t get the picture for the wazard hat. So lazy today. The Wizard Hat is at the Lighthouse on the table.

The Gift Shop is now a market! There is a scroll where you can buy Medieval clothes!

There is a Castle Hallway background for members and non members.

The new play, “The Haunting Of The Viking Opera” is out now! Here are some cheats of the catalog and some pictures of the stage.

Now, there are three viking helmets! The red,blue, and gold viking helmet! Here are where they all are.

Click on the Jewelled Viking Helmet in the title and you will get the Red Viking Helmet.

Open and close that 3 more times and you will get the Blue Viking Helmet!

Then, while the Blue Viking Helmet one is still opened, click on the Jewelled Viking Helmet that Helga is wearing and you will get the Gold Viking Helmet!

There is also a Viking Background for members and non members!

You Decide: A Wig Color! (with the pictures)

Well, they came out bad. Anyways, this is how the wigs might look.  Tell me which wig you voted for in the comments.
